About the center
The International Center of Molecular Allergology under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
History and status
The International Center for Molecular Allergology was established by Resolution No. 865 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 25 October 2018 “On the establishment of the International Center for Molecular Allergology under the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, with the aim of developing research, diagnostic, educational and industrial innovation in molecular allergology and aerobiology, introducing molecular and other advanced methods of diagnosing and treating allergic diseases, and improving the quality of medical services. Under Annex 4 to Presidential Resolution No. PQ-200 of 3 July 2023 “On measures for the effective organisation of public administration in higher education, science and innovation as part of administrative reforms”, the Center became part of the Innovative Development Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Today the Center operates under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The International Center for Molecular Allergology under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (the Center) is a public institution conducting research on allergic diseases at the molecular level and developing innovative treatments, as well as studying the spread of plant pollen and fungal spores, how they change with environmental factors, and their impact on human health.
The Center aims to make its research practical and effective, improve the quality of medical services, fulfil the tasks set out in its Charter, provide services and generate income. In its work the Center collaborates closely with the Republican Specialised Scientific Center of Allergology of the Ministry of Health, the Institute of Immunology and Human Genomics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and other research institutions.
Today the Center provides diagnostic and treatment services based on advanced technologies that meet international standards.

The Center’s tasks
- 01
Developing innovative technologies for diagnosing allergic diseases with state-of-the-art biological microarrays, as well as treating and preventing such diseases
- 02
Creating an “allergy passport” that brings together information on a patient’s allergic disease, allergen types and the risk of emergency conditions
- 03
Aerobiological monitoring of allergenic plant pollen and pollination forecasts to inform the public, and compiling a flowering calendar of allergenic plants
- 04
Bringing food labelling in line with international standards with regard to the risk of anaphylactic reactions, and introducing it step by step in the food industry
- 05
Organising and supporting scientific research in molecular allergology
- 06
Developing professional development curricula and teaching materials on molecular allergology for doctors
- 07
Contract-based professional development and retraining of specialists in molecular allergology
- 08
Creating conditions to attract young scientists and foreign experts in molecular allergology to collaborate
- 09
Taking part in international scientific and technical cooperation, including joint research and innovation projects with foreign partners funded by foundations and international grant programmes
